In February 2017, we opened our project gallery, called Hybridart Space, at Galamb Street 6. In addition to hosting classic exhibitions in the white cube-type space, we’ve also held design events, book launches, diploma exhibitions, sustainability hackathons, project kick-offs, art dinners and Sunday lunches, and even shot a film once.
Dáriusz Gwizdala had been working on the reinterpretation of the genre-statues of Budapest’spublic spacessince the second half of 2016. He uses aplastic reproductiontechnique to create guerilla remix reliefs. He mostly focuses on the expropriation of already existing works and the free usage of objects in public spaces. Besides displaying the works aboutstatuesof Budapest, a Sándor Weöres sculpture of Pécs, and a Ferenc Puskás one from Szentes, a video will also be screened about his creative process.
