Artist-in-Residence Program – Veszprém-Balaton 2023

2021 nyarán a HybridCycle a Hybridart Management-el közösen elindítja rezidenciaprogramját a veszprémi régió kiemelkedő térségében, a Káli-medencében: a festői Mindszentkállán és Köveskálon, ezzel segítve fiatal hazai és külföldi tehetségek nemzetközi mobilitását. A rezidenciaprogram helyszínválasztása nem véletlen; a Káli-medence hegyei és lankái a vidék nyugalmát árasztják magukból, a csendes elvonulás inspiratív közeget teremt az alkotásra.

A nyertes pályázóknak hazánk egyik legszebb természeti tájának megismerésén túl lehetősége nyílik egy helyspecifikus projektmunka létrehozására, amit Veszprémben, Budapesten, 2023-ban pedig egy utazó kiállítás keretében 10 másik, múlt- és jövőbéli Európa Kulturális Fővárosa címet elnyert településen ismerheti meg a nagyközönség. A kiállítást legelőször 2021 októberében Veszprémben rendezzük, az első 4 elkészült munka bemutatásával. A programban résztvevő művészek fejenként 180 000 Ft összegű ösztöndíjban részesülnek.

2021 június-októberi időszakában összesen hat képzőművész számára 3 hetes időszakokra elérhetővé tesszük alkotótelepünket, ami kreatív, fenntarthatóság fókuszú alkotói tevékenység helyszínéül szolgál. A rezidencia célja elsősorban a fenntarthatóság és a képzőművészet ötvözésének, határterületeinek kutatása, az ezen alapuló alkotás bátorítása, támogatása.

A rezidenciaprogram jelentkezőinek kiválasztásánál a magyar alkotóművészeken túl a regionális együttműködések ösztönzésére cseh, lengyel és szlovák egyetemek képviselőire kiemelt figyelmet fordítunk. A pályázatra diplomás képző- és iparművészek jelentkezését várjuk, legyenek aktív hallgatói jogviszonnyal rendelkező egyetemisták, művészeti egyetemek oktatói, alumni tagjai.

A rezidenciaprogram értékajánlata:

·         180 000 Ft ösztöndíj

·         Max. 200 000 Ft anyagköltség

·         Max. 25 000 Ft utazási költség

·         Szállás

·         Napi 3 étkezés

·         Alkotótér a szállás közvetlen környezetében

·         Akár 2 alkalmas művészeti mentorálás a tartózkodási időszak alatt

·         Lehetőség vagy a rezidencia során létrehozott új munkák, vagy a folyamatban lévő munkák bemutatására veszprémi és budapesti kiállításainkon.

A jelentkezési anyag tartalma:

·         Szakmai önéletrajz (max. 1 oldal)

·         Korábbi alkotásokat bemutató portfólió (max. 10 MB)

·         Motivációs levél és részletes munkaterv (amiben a pályázó ismerteti a tervezett műalkotás látványtervét, annak dimenzióit és anyagszükségletét, illetve kifejti a munkafolyamat fázisait) (max. 7000 karakter)

A nyertes pályázó vállalja, hogy a választott időszak teljes ideje alatt a kijelölt alkotótelepen tartózkodik, valamint az ott készült műalkotást a Hybridart Management gyűjteményének felajánlja.

Artist-in-Residence Program – Veszprém-Balaton 2023

In the summer of 2021, HybridCycle together with Hybridart Management will launch its residency program in the outstanding area of the Veszprém region, the Káli Basin: the picturesque Mindszentkálla and the charming village of Köveskál, thus helping the international mobility of young ational and foreign talents. The three different locations provide different source of inspiration; while the mountains and slopes of the Káli Basin provide the tranquility of the countryside, the bustling Veszprém is rich in city momentum, and the peninsula of Tihany invites visitors with its view of Lake Balaton and its natural and man-made sights.

In addition to getting to know one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Hungary, winning applicants will have the opportunity to create a site-specific project work, which later will be showcased in Veszprém, then Budapest, and in a traveling exhibition in 2023. The exhibition will be held for the first time in Veszprém in October 2021, with the presentation of the first 4 completed works. Artists participating in the program receive a scholarship of 180 000 HUF.

In the period of June-October 2021, we will make our creative spaces available for a total of six artists for 3-week periods, which will serve as a venue for sustainability-focused creative activity. The aim of the residence is primarily to research the combination of environmental protection and fine arts, and to encourage and support the creation based on the achieved results.

In selecting applicants for the residency program, in addition to Hungarian artists, we pay special attention to artists coming from Czech, Polish and Slovak universities to encourage regional collaborations. We are seeking proposals from individual artists who would like to develop and progress their practice through a residency in Veszprém region, Hungary. Application is open only for graduates of fine- and applied art, be it students with active student status, lecturers of art universities, alumni members, or any practicing artists working with various media including; painting, drawing, textiles, sculptures, film, installation, etc.

The residency offers:

·         An artist’s fee of 180 000 HUF

·         A materials budget of up to 200 000 HUF

·         Travel expenses of up to 80 000 HUF

·         Accommodation in our apartment in Mindszentkálla or Köveskál

·         Studio space in the immediate vicinity of the accomodation

·         An opportunity to show either a new body of work created during the residency or work in progress in one of our exhibitions in Veszprém and Budapest

·         Opportunity to have mentoring consultation with Hungarian artists during the residency period

Content of the application:

·         CV (max. 1 page)

·         Portfolio of previous works (max. 10 MB)

·         Motivation letter and detailed work plan (in which the applicant describes the visual design of the planned work of art, its dimensions and material requirements, and explains the phases of the work process) (max. 7000 characters)

The winning entrant undertakes to stay at the designated site for the entire duration of the selected period and to offer the work of art made there to the collection of Hybridart Management.
